I’m going to Britmums Live 2013

June 20, 2013 in Blog Hops / Memes / Linkies, Blogging, Entertainment, Holidays, Uncategorized by Emma Day

This weekend, I am majorly excited to be going to Britmums Live in London. It’s a two-day blogger conference, with around 500 parent bloggers attending! Also, I hear there is cake involved!

Friday night is also the BiB Awards (Brilliance in Blogging Awards) for which I am a finalist in the inspire category. I got there because many of you nominated me, and then voted for me, as you found my blog inspiring. Thankyou so much for that! I don’t think I will win as I have some stiff competition from five brilliantly inspiring bloggers, but it means a lot to be a finalist. Also, I hear there is bubbly involved!

Whilst many bloggers already know what I look like, from my recent media frenzy, or from my twin pregnancy photos, for those bloggers who want to meet me and don’t know what I look like…

Is this your first blogging conference?
Its my first overnight conference. I also went to tots100 Blog Summit in Bristol.

Are you attending both days?
I am indeed!

What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2013?
Can I say the hotel? It’s 5 star! I’m really excited about it. I’m staying in a club room at The Montcalm at The Brewery, so that I’m not far away from hubs and the twins. I’m also very excited about meeting lots and lots of bloggers who have all been a huge support to me lately.

What are you wearing?
A dress! I like dresses. I like to look girly. Plus I’ll feel more like I deserve to be in such a nice hotel!

What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2013?
Some new friends, some tips on how to further improve my blog, maybe a book deal, some freebies, and a fabulous experience.

Tell us one thing about you that not everyone knows:
I once locked myself out of the flat I used to live in, wearing only a polar bear dressing gown. I then had to walk 3 miles in my next door neighbours clothing, through the town centre, to get another key. I should add that I was 18 and a size 8… my neighbour was 82 and a size 20. And yes, I had to borrow everything from pants to sandals!I
