Before I went to Britmums Live, I had never heard of Speck. They make phone cases and tablet cases.
I was sent a FitFolio case for our Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 to review. Given the choice of pink or black, I thought, “What would Jonny choose?”.
So obviously I chose pink… “because real men like pink!” (or so he often assures me).
I’d been conned into buying an unbranded case for our tablet before at the Christmas Gift Fair in Birmingham, only to get home and find it didn’t fit. So I’ve been too dubious to buy another.
This one arrived this morning and I was impressed by the quality. It’s got that new leather smell and neat stitching. It has holes for the buttons, so you don’t have to take the tablet out of the case to turn it off (unlike our last one). It also has a clip so you can actually clip the case shut (I’m really starting to see how shoddy the old one was).
It’s also got the same design as my phone case (FitFolio), so that it can be moved to different angles and will freestand for when you want handsfree time or want to watch a movie on it. I find that really useful on my phone and equally so on this tablet case.
It’s sturdy and well made and fits the tablet perfectly.
Speck also make the more traditional style hard cases for mobile phones. They seem to be a bit more flexible than other brands I’ve encountered and have grippers on the inside to hold the phone in place.
I have some brand new Speck cases for the iPhone 5 to give away to two lucky readers! What colour? Do you even need to ask?
These are the Speck Candy Shell cases. To win, enter using the rafflecopter below:
