Hubs and I don't have a lot of luck financially. We both work, but every time things start going right for us, something or someone always comes along and throws a spanner in the works.
Every time we come close to paying off all our debts, something happens with one of our jobs or another hefty bill comes along, to throw us back.
Something happened yesterday, (which I don't care to talk about), which has thrown us back down again, just when things were going right.
This always happens to us. It gets me down every time. Hubs always insists that we'll get through, because we always survive, but I'm sick of it. Why do we always have to scrape by with the skin of our teeth? Couldn't we just have ONE year where we can afford our rent?
I'm feeling very low today, as I had great plans for the rest of the summer, and for next year. Now most of that will be off. So in attempt to be upbeat, here's a motivational quote I found which pretty much sums up our relationship.
"Defeat may test you; it need not stop you. If at first you don't succeed, try another way. For every obstacle there is a solution. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. The greatest mistake is giving up."
