I started blogging in March 2012 when I was 30 weeks pregnant with twins and going out of my mind with boredom. SPD had left me housebound and unbeknown to me, pre-eclampsia and it’s rarer (and life threatening) complication HELLP Syndrome were about to kick in and put all three of our lives at risk. I blogged it all. The highs and the lows.

At the time when I started my blog, I wasn’t aware of the MAD Blog Awards and therefore I didn’t partake. In 2013, I went on to not only qualify as a finalist, but I actually WON the Best Baby Blog. It was one of my greatest achievements (after surviving childbirth of course). I am still so proud of that trophy (It’s actually the only trophy I’ve ever won for anything in my entire life!).

In 2014 I felt honoured to be a finalist at the MAD Blog Awards in the Outstanding Contribution Category for all my work raising awareness of Cancer, whilst battling it myself in 2013. The video the MAD Blog Awards made as a tribute to the finalists still brings tears to my eyes. It was such an honour being amongst such incredible people, who all make the world a better place with their writing.

In 2015 I literally couldn’t believe my luck, when I made the finals for Best Preschool blog.

Now, in 2016, my blog has gone full circle. Of course I still blog to raise awareness of HELLP Syndrome and Pre-Eclampsia. I still blog to raise awareness of Cancer and I still fundraise every year for Cancer Research UK. I still blog about my oldest daughter and her school life. I still blog about my preschool age twins and the mischief they get up to. But now I’m back to blogging about pregnancy again too.

This pregnancy, has been the exact opposite of my twin pregnancy. This time I have been fit and well physically, but I have been on one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride. It’s been difficult, but I’ve blogged every tiny detail of it. I started blogging about this pregnancy at just 4 weeks pregnant and I have continued with weekly updates. I continued through really dark times and blogged details which others would probably want to hide away. That’s just who I am. My life is an open book. I write straight from the heart. I always have, and the day that I stop, will be the day I give up blogging.

You can find all my pregnancy posts here.

It would mean the world to me, to make the finalists of the Best Pregnancy Blog Category in the MAD Blog Awards, but I can’t do that without your help. If you enjoy reading my soul bearing-pregnancy updates, my letters, my reviews and everything else pregnancy, please take 1 minute out of your day to nominate me for a MAD Blog Award. You can nominate me by clicking here or on the little badge below and it really would mean so much to me and Baby Bear.
