Bassetts Vitamins have kindly sent us some Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles for ages 3-6 years to review, but first, I think it’s fair I give a little insight into my twins lifestyles and why I want them to start taking multivitamins.
My twins are six years old, have healthy appetites and lead a very active lifestyle. We always try to ensure that they eat a good balanced diet, with their five portions of fruit and veg per day and at least one portion of fish a week. They do sports at school, running at weekends and gymnastics too and generally have much stronger immune systems than I do (touch wood).
Bassetts Vitamins have just recently introduced their new product, Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles for 3-6 year olds. As well as tasting of juicy oranges, these pastilles have no added sugar and are made with natural flavours and colours. As a family who have been actively cutting down our sugar intake for quite some time, this is great. The pastilles contain Vitamin B6 to support normal psychological function and Vitamin B5 which contributes to mental performance. Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour contain all the benefits of Bassetts Vitamins’ much-loved multivitamins, but with added omega-3.
How could I recommend children’s multivitamins though, without first getting my children to try them. Afterall, taste is probably the most important factor when it comes to getting children to take them. Especially for 3-6 year olds who don’t fully understand the concept of eating something for health benefits rather than taste.
Both twins liked the taste and the chewy texture of the Bassetts Vitamins Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles. They are easy to take as they aren’t like traditional adult multivitamins (apart from Bassetts Vitamins Adult, of course!) which often need to be
swallowed whole. Tiny said they taste “squidgy, orangey and scrummy”. Fluffy said they taste “delicious, juicy and yummy”. And quite without meaning to, the two have rhymed.
I may have eaten one too… well my children aren’t guinea pigs! They actually did taste really nice.
I think Bassetts Vitamins Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles are great! My twins love them so it’s a win-win for me as a mum, although I’ve had to explain they can only have one per day! They retail at an RRP of £5.50 a packet for 30 pastilles (so roughly a months supply in each packet).

**Disclaimer: This is an advertorial review. I was gifted three packs of multivitamins and paid a fee for my time in writing this post. All words and opinions are entirely my own and entirely honest.
We’ve been using these vitamins for many years because sadly my kids DON’T have balanced diets, despite me trying very hard for the last 17 years to get them to eat a balanced diet. My daughter is now on the adult ones and she still enjoys them. There is no way she would be able to swallow a normal adult vitamin.
