My girlies don’t watch a massive amount of TV, but my oldest tends to watch more OnDemand TV and spend a lot of time on YouTube since we got a Smart TV. I have to regularly check up on what she is watching because she is at a very impressionable age and I want her to follow strong and positive role models. There are a few TV programmes we have had to ban recently, because they were influencing her behaviour in a negative way.
DC Entertainment has recently launched it’s latest animated series featuring a dynamic group of Super Heros. The series follows them on their journey of discovering the power of their unique abilities and friendships. I love programmes which introduce morals and emphasise the importance of good friendships, so I will be encouraging Bunny to watch this, over the shows I banned, and hoping it has a positive impact on her.
The students of “Superhero High” range from well known and loved characters like Superwoman (the leader) and Catwoman (the feisty one), to lesser known characters like Beast Boy, Bumblebee and Hawkgirl. They all have their own profiles and personalities which you can read about on the DC Super Hero Girls website . Kids can also play games, download free printable activities, browse the products available to buy and lots more. DC Super Hero girls look great for children who love action-packed girl power and who doesn’t love a superhero?!
You can see some of the episodes over on the DC Super Hero Girls Youtube Channel
