Fathers Day.
Most women complain, that men are difficult to buy for. Luckily my husband is easy! He wants everything!
Less luckily, Father’s day always comes in the same week as our Wedding Anniversary… meaning double the presents to buy for Jonny. Then his birthday, is only a month away.
So I thought I had struck gold when Treat Gifts contacted me and asked me to review 3 products for Fathers Day! You might have heard of Treat Gifts as TreatHer.com TreatHim.com or TreatBaby.com
So here’s what we got Jonny…
A glass tankard, personalised…
Well, Jonny is a percussion consultant as a hobby. He teaches drum lines, in UK drum corps and writes musical scores for them. Jonny is extremely talented in this department and personally I think he should be doing this professionally and making money from it, rather than just voluntarily, as a hobby. His passion rules his head though and for that I thought “God of Drums” an appropriate title!
How does Bunny describe Jonny? Well she says “Guinness Lover”, because, that’s his tipple of choice. He doesn’t drink very often, but seeing that we both work in the pub industry, it seems an appropriate thing to be printed on a beer glass!
And the twins? Well they giggle the most when he is blowing raspberries on their tiny tummies! So “raspberry blower” went on the third line for him!
So that’s how I chose my personalisations and the product that arrived met all my expectations. All beer drinking men should have a tankard, I think!
Then we chose a travel mug for coffee. One personalised with “Coffee: Keeping Jon Day awake since Bunny, Tiny & Fluffy were born”. We actually had it engraved with their real names, so I’ve not photographed it in full. I thought this was quirky and Jonny really does like his coffee… any time of day or night!
Again the product was well made. The lid looked firm, unlike some we’ve had in the past, which leaked. The personalisation jazzed it up too.
The final product I chose was a MAN TIN! Now I don’t know about anyone else’s significant other, but my Jonny has a really annoying habit! He fills up the fruit bowl with random objects. Most commonly… payslips, coins, batteries and sunglasses. I recently tagged him in a Facebook photo of a bowl of fruit – explaining to him, that this was it’s real purpose! He replied, “No it’s not, it’s my MAN BOWL!”. So I have now reclaimed my fruit bowl and Jonny can use his MAN TIN for all his junk!
All the products arrived the following morning, after making my selections. They were very well packed, with lots of bubble wrap for the kids to play with protection and all the items arrived in mint condition.
We decided, that as we would be away for Father’s Day, to give Jonny his Father’s Day presents a few days early.
Each and every one raised a smile. He loved the irony and personal joke that came with the man tin, and he loved the personalisation and functionality of the other gifts.
I was impressed with the speedy service and communication between myself and TreatHim.com and will certainly be using them again for men’s birthday presents!
Disclosure: I did not receive any form of payment for writing this post. I was sent three gifts from Treat Gifts to review from my own perspective. All words, experiences and opinions are entirely my own and I was not influenced in any way by any brand or individual.
