So here it is… The blog I planned to start 10 weeks ago! Better fill you in…
I’m now 30 weeks pregnant and despite peoples comments of “Your bump is small – are you sure you’re having twins?”, I feel the size of a large mammal that should avoid beaches for fear of being harpooned!
It began with a traumatic 10 weeks of morning sickness which had me signed off work and crying on the bathroom floor for my mummy.
Then came the hunger – making up for lost time, I’ve subsequently put on almost 2 stones and my favourite hobby is eating. Although much to the disgust of some of my friends, I dont seem to have put on any fat – just babies; so I look as though I just stuffed a beach ball up my top to convince people I’m really pregnant!
I was then diagnosed with SPD (symphis pubis dysfunction) which basically means I cant walk for more than 2 minutes without being in pain and looking as though I’ve sharted!
When I was pregnant with my daughter, Bunny, I didnt seem to suffer with any pregnancy ailments, other than insomnia – which prepared me more than thoroughly for the sleep deprivation of having a baby. But this time I seem to have every ailment in the book, as you’ll probably soon find out when I moan about them in this blog! Although if the lady on the train, and the lady in Tesco, and the lady at school, and the lady in the pub, and the midwife, are all correct (who are all too eager to share their thoughts without invitation), I will be lucky to make it to 37 weeks before these sproglets make their appearance!
Well now I’ve gotten around to starting this blog… I think its time for a lay down! Its exhausting being prego and my babybrain can’t remember what I came on here to write anyway!
Night all! xxx
Congratulations on your twin pregnancy! Hope you will sonn feel better… my morning sickness with both my singleton pregnancies was so bad I had to have regular IV infusions. Sending you happy tummy vibes…
Thanks. Oh the Morning sickness was ages ago – I had it from 7 weeks to 17 weeks. So glad thats over! Although feeling a little nausea lately, but its not affecting my eating like before. x
Love reading your stories. You could write a good book.xxx
BIG Congratulations!! And yay for the blog! I love blogging, HATE writing but LOVE blogging! 🙂
I’m always getting the ‘are you sure you’re pregnant?’ & ‘you cant be over 30 weeks’ I think I would actually scream if I was carrying twins and was getting this!! I too feel HUGE!!
I had crazy terrible sickness and was diagnosed with HG, was a horrible time of my life. Couldnt even drink water! 🙁
Hope your SPD is getting better? xx
Thanks Emma, I am enjoying blogging too. I’d love to have a blog as successful as yours someday! Perhaps you could email me some tips? I’m getting hundreds of viewers but not sure how to get them to become followers – especially struggling with intergrating with facebook and how to publicize outside of facebook. But hey, I’ve only been going a week!
The SPD is getting worse so I’m just staying in now as been told I could end up on crutches if I do too much walking! Only 5 weeks (ISH) to go. And yeah I know what you mean about the sickness. I couldnt drink either. Luckily managed to avoid going on a drip but only just! xx
Love to read it. Nice sharing
Having a baby is not that easy, but having twins is way harder. But what’s good about it, is that, you have 2 blessings at the same time. So, you have to take good care of yourself, twice. Thanks for sharing!
