The twins are enjoying their weaning journey so far and I’m sure you’ve sussed out from my HiPP Organic review, that my hip babies are loving their first tastes! So I thought I’d share the love and offer you the chance to win a HiPP Hamper of baby weaning goodies. A whopping £50 worth of goodies – delivered before Christmas – to be more accurate!
(Here’s a sneaky peek at some of the things you might get in your hamper)
What’s more… HiPP have kindly sent us some tips to surviving Christmas with a baby (or two) – So I’ve translated them into crazywithtwins lingo, ready to share with you!
1. Baby Budgeting – Stick to your budget… The little ones prefer the packaging anyway! Have you seen how many hours a cardboard box can entertain a child under 5 years?!
2. Let your guests help – It’s your Christmas too and it’d be nice to appear in some of the festive family photos! By that I mean – you having fun, not photos of you faking a smile halfway through the washing up!
3. Rule the Roost (or should that be roast?) – Time dinner around baby’s routine and remember nap-time is you-time!
4. Baby’s Christmas Wardrobe – Plan more than one outfit – for when they brew up some special nappy-presents for you!
5. Say Yes – If anyone offers to prepare a dish for you for dinner. You know what they say… someone else’s cooking always tastes better! (or you can blame them if dinner is rubbish!)
6. Baby Proof the Decor – If you’ve got a crawler or a bum-shuffler, you’ll need to make sure you don’t put any baubles in reach of tiny hands!
7. Teach them how to share – the grandparents, not the babies. If you have twins (like me) – give them a baby each to hold! If you’ve just the one – give them a baby related task each. (Give the stinky nappies to the relative that is most getting on your nerves!)
8. Quiet time – Make sure the babe gets some peaceful time, or the sudden overload of attention will cause hours of screaming later. I’ve been there! – Bunny’s first Christmas… 2 am boxing day… driving around the country trying to settle her… chuffing tired!
9. Sweat the small stuff – Make sure no small toys or small parts of anyone’s presents or wrapping is left where baby can get to it.
10. Have a HiPPy Christmas – and check out some of the HiPP Organic christmas flavours – Festive Brekkie, Christmas Dinner, Dessert and a traditional snack.
Thankyou HiPP for some great tips (that I undoubtedly altered a teensy bit!) To join the baby club, or for free samples, advice, information and competitions about these products, visit HiPP Organic

My little one is 6 months old, I’m going to get her a jumperoo (even though it will take up half the room). She loves bouncing so I hope this keeps her busy long enough for me to do everything I can’t normally do!
Be prepared! Make sure you have milk, nappies, dummies and wipes 🙂
Had an activity such as colouring for your children to do whilst you are preparing dinner

Visit someone else for Christmas.
Invite both sets of parents, then let them look after the kids 🙂
we just relax and take it easy, so very easy to survive xmas i dont have loads of people round to cook dinner for or anything we just chill out!
our baby has a Leapfrog Scout and bounce and spin Zebra for his first Christmas, can’t wait to see his face!
Try stick to your babies normal routine as much as possible.Espically bedtimes!
A teddy bear is one of the most treasured toys for the first Christmas. As for tips, I’d say do not overdo it with guests and visitors, as it could be quite tiring, plus you don’t want all the extra germs around the baby. 🙂
Wishing you a lovely holiday season!
Try not to take on too much. Go to someone else’s house and let them cook dinner for you. Maybe they’ll even look after baby. Make time for yourselves, even if it’s just a walk with your hubby.
It’s Dexie’s first Christmas and he’s a very lucky boy. We’ve bought him tons of soft toys and clothes to enjoy x

I am so nervous!
be as organised as can be 🙂
My tip for surviving Christmas with a baby is to try, as far as possible, to keep to their routine/usual food and don’t allow any well meaning guests to give them “little tastes” or “little treats” as no one wants baby to have an upset tummy
If they have a special outfit on for the day, strip them down to their vest for the meal!!

make sure they have a nap when you are having your christmas dinner lol, my daughter was 7 weeks old and screamed and screamed during ours a couple of years ago (she hated us eating)
My kids are grown up , but I have now got the joy of my little granddaughter, who is 14 months old. It is just another day really, a bit more hectic, thats all. Kids get so many presents they are usually busy playing with them. This year I will probably keep the little one occuppied whilst mum and dad cook, as im going to theirs, so thats a suggestion, invite grandparents over to help out.
Take it easy, I spend my Christmas with my parents, so that’s easy for me to do. Treat it like any other day but with extra magic and food!
again to try and keep in their routine as much as possible although I can imagine it getting easier as they get older as my daughter was 2 month old last xmas hence was bf regularly x
gonna get my baby girl a cute santa costume xxxxxxxx
I think it would be to just go with the flow, relax and enjoy as it will only be their first once, oh and have plenty of bibs and muslins to hand lol! its our second little girls first Christmas and she will be almost five months and she was 7 weeks early. Its going to be such a special first Christmas all together I just can’t wait 🙂
