This is a short poem I wrote during the horrendous wind and rain storms a few weeks ago. My house is REALLY noisy when it's windy, due to the location and positioning of our house. From my bedroom at night, the sounds are actually quite frightening.
The Howling
the howling
the growling
the window shakes
the fierce rumble
the low grumble
the fear it makes
the whistle
the hiss
the roof vibrates
the snapping rain
the biting cold
the storm creates.

You capture the feel of a storm really well!I always think a storm outside makes it feel cosy inside… but maybe not with your house!#prose4T

This conjures those sounds that go bump (or whoosh) in the night very well. Let’s hope that’s it for now!
I echo those sentiments! Thank goodness it is all over (we hope!!). Thank you for linking to Prose for Thought lovely x
