My garden is a bit of a sore subject at the moment. It seems the more work we do on it, the faster the weeds grow back and take over. I have a lovely big garden and I can’t wait for it to be a pretty little outdoor haven. I appreciate how much work it’s going to take, but it now seems it’s going to take a lot of money too.
We fear the only way to get rid of the weeds is going to be to hire a mini digger and dig up the whole garden, prepare the soil and lay fresh turf. I might have to get some garden tools from SGS.
We want a prettier fence and a shed to put all our stuff. A friend has kindly already built us a shed base. We want some decking for nice summer barbeques and to chill in the hot tub. I’d love some pretty little trees at the back. Bunny is keen to grow some vegetable and we all want an abundance of flowers. I would also love an archway with stepping stones leading up to it, like my grandparents had when I was a little girl.
For our front garden, we are looking at getting a driveway and a dropped kerb put in.
All of this is going to take a great deal of hard work and money, so we are having to put it off a little longer. We are also having an extension at some time over the winter, which somewhat hinders the gardening. The goal is to have it all finished before next summer, so that we can enjoy it. I can’t wait to see all the changes and I’m hoping to do before, after, and progress photographs which I can post up on the blog.
