Have you met Nala? Nala is our furry friend. I’ve not blogged about her since I was pregnant with the twins and she formed a feline connection with my unborn babies!
Nala is Bunny’s cat and sadly I get referred to as “Granny” when it comes to Nala. At 27 years old, I rather resent being called Granny! However, this crazy kitty is part of our family and having recently lost her collar and destroyed her scratching post (and my carpets), it was time to get her some new goodies!
Swell Pets have kindly sent Nala a new (and mightily improved) scratching post, complete with toy in the top and cat cave in the bottom! It’s the Satellite scratching post, as it looks like a satellite! It arrived the day after I spoke to Swell Pets, well packaged and partially assembled. Jonny had a little difficulty with some of the smaller screws, but within ten minutes, he had the scratching post built.
Nala’s curiosity showed instantly as she started sniffing around it and rubbing her face up against it. I am yet to capture a photo of her using it though! She’s quite nocturnal. I am hoping she will now start using this, instead of my carpets, to sharpen her claws!
Nala was also sent a brand new collar, in a pink camouflage design, which looks rather beautiful against her white fur. She looks like somebody owns her again! The collar is a snap-free collar by Hem & Boo, so hopefully, she won’t break or lose this one! We can hear her coming now too, as it has a cute little bell attached. Nala is one proud puss now!

I like the Pink Stars Design
I have 2 beautiful cats, but the collar would be most suitable for Benny, who was born with a very rare liver condtition. I have to attach a barrel to his collar containing important information regarding food and medicine just in case he gets lost. The blue collar would look lovely against his browny/black fluffy fur.
I really like the black and multi coloured stars – but would be happy with any to be honest – both my cats managed to lose their collars within a week of each other so would like to see how well this stays put.
I’m with you, pink camo is the way forward.
This Stripey one looks lovely! Only recently got a kitten from a rescue centre, and he is sooo lovely! At first we called him Wimpy as they said he was extremely skittish, but a week later and he was anything BUT! He is so cute, he likes to suckle on my cardigan at night! Little devil! 🙂 Thanks!

On a side note, I see your cat has white fur with one blue eye. I heard that can mean they are deaf on the side with the blue eye. Is that the case with your cat?
Nope she has full hearing in both ears. I had heard that too. She has one green and one blue. It’s very striking!

My black cat would look lovely in the Stripes cat collar.
That is a fabulous scratching post & I love the little hidey-hole underneath it. My cat was an ex-stray & bad at scratching – he did my new sofa last year & the stair carpets but I discovered he likes to scratch coir doormats more than carpet so we have 3 door mats at various places in the house to divert his attention from the soft furnishings & its mostly worked although I still have to watch him on the stair carpets!
