As a Tefal Innovation Panellist, it’s my duty to share with you, the latest inventions of Tefal, which will revolutionise your kitchen. I’ve talked about the sensational OptiGrill and the speedy Fresh Express Max. Now I’m introducing you to the Tefal Ingenio.
What is Tefal Ingenio?

It’s a new range of cookware – multi-purpose pans. Pans without handles – so they are convenient for storage, refrigeration, serving and can even be used as cake tins! Tefal work closely with Jamie Oliver, to make sure their cookware is good enough for even the best chefs!
You are provided with one handle, which clicks on and off of any of the Tefal Ingenio pans.

Why will this revolutionise your kitchen?
Well you can throw out (or put on freecycle) all your handled saucepans and frying pans, you can throw out your cake tins and your storage tins. You can throw out your casserole dishes, your serving dishes, your pyrex and your tuppaware. Ingenio does the job of them all and takes up far less space!
All the pans stack inside each other.
All the lids stack on top of each other.
The removable handle greatly reduces the risk of knocking a pan off the stove, or the handle getting too hot.
The inbuilt colander, means you don’t have to tip boiling water anymore – you just lift it up and all the water drains back into the pan you cooked it in!
If you need to finish dinner off in the oven, or under the grill – you don’t need to transfer it to another dish – you just put it in the oven and click the handle off.
The removable handles, mean you can serve dinner straight to the table, instead of using a serving dish.
The plastic, airtight storage lids, mean you can just put a lid on your leftovers and stick them straight in the fridge, without dirtying another dish.
The Tefal non-stick coating is safe to put in the fridge, without worrying about the food being tainted.
All the pans (and handle) are completely dishwasher safe, just like all the parts on the OptiGrill and the Fresh Express.

What did I think of Tefal Ingenio?
I received a sample of Tefal Ingenio pans to test. Unfortunately, this didn’t include the glass lids or the plastic lids, but they are on my “To Buy” list.
The pans are proving great already – The amount of space they take up is so much less than my other pans – which were actually the Tefal stackable ones – but these are even more stackable!
The handle clicks on and off really easily, with just two finger operation, yet when on, it’s very sturdy.
The pans we have are suitable for induction, electric or gas, so if we were ever to change cooker, we wouldn’t need to change pans. I love that everything Tefal can go in the dishwasher too, because I HATE washing up!
The pans are great for things like cottage pie – because you can cook the mince in the large frying pan and then just throw the mash on top and put it in the oven. Then stick it on the table to serve. Put the lid on any leftovers and put it in the fridge. When reheating – just take the lid off and whack it back in the oven. Think about it – to do all that before the Tefal Ingenio – how many different containers would you have used?

You can read more about Tefal Ingenio on the Tefal website.
Disclaimer: I am on the Tefal Innovation Panel and am regularly sent Tefal products (including the Tefal Ingenio) to test; however all blog posts and reviews about Tefal, are entirely my own words and opinions.
I’m loving that even the handles on the glass lids fold down to make stacking and storing so much easier

Love this idea, how many times do you have leftovers and would like to put the pan in fridge but the handle doesn’t fit? Happens all the time in my house.
I really like the handles. I wonder if this will start to catch on more? Perfect for those who are a little short on space.
I love this simple idea, have just seem them in my local supermarket in France. Looking at them I’m just a bit concerned about the tight 90 degree corners of the saucepans, doesn’t stuff get stuck in there, eg if you are making a sauce?
No not at all. I actually find they are the easiest to clean out of all my pans. I have other Tefal ones and some non Tefal ones – but I always prefer using these as they are so easy to clean. x
Thank you for a brilliant review, after reading I went ahead and purchased this pan set http://www.homelifewithheather.co.uk/2015/03/top-5-kitchen-gadgets-2015.html

I love the practicality of having these pans. Easy to store, stock and use (to cook, serve). This is great! Thanks for sharing your review.

Will one handle be enough for the whole cookware set?
I’ve only ever needed one. I don’t think I’ve ever needed to pick up two saucepans at the exact same time. You simply put the one you are using down and attach the handle to the next one you want to pick up.
