Or plotting which toys to steal from each other?
According to my 10 month old twins…
1. Duplo is not for building…
Duplo bricks are for putting in the mouth, filling with drool, then hitting your twin with.
2. Rattles only work if there are two (and I don’t mean one each)…
You don’t shake them, you bash them together to make as much noise as possible – whilst your twin cries, because you took hers!
3. Noisy toys are NOT suitable for sharing…
They are for tug of war, fighting over, and in some cases, a weapon!
4. Highchair toys…
The idea is to cover it in as much food as possible, then use it to smear said food, everywhere! The one Mummy cleans up first, is the winner!
5. All toys…
Must be tasted and checked for bite-ability. Think of it like a dog marking their territory… whoever leaves the biggest teeth marks – claims it!
6. All is fair and equal…
In twins and toys. That includes, kicking, biting, hair pulling, slobbering on, eye poking and pinching. The first one to get pulled away by mummy or daddy, is the loser!
7. Some of our favourite toys are…
Dirty nappies – fresh off the bum, baby wipes, a spoon full of food, our big sister, tv remotes & mobile phones.
8. Mummy is trying to teach us the meaning of a word…
It must mean she is proud of us, because every time we do any of the above… she looks at us and says “NO!”

Ah, they are gorgeous! They’ll soon work out that working together is far more effective than working against each other!

Ah thanks. They do often play nicely as well, but certain toys tend to sometimes cause disputes! lol. xx
That’s a wonderful post! Reminds me of my boys! They can be. Perfect little angles and play very nicely together and then from one moment to the next all he’ll breaks loose!

Bless them! This made me laugh, but I’m sure it’s not always so funny to deal with!

Great post! And oh so true. Remember it well. It DOES get easier though. My twins are 6 now and although a toy occasionally still becomes a weapon, they generally get on brilliantly. They’ve even learnt to share!! 🙂 xx
This did make me chuckle! Brilliant Post hun! And gorgeous girlies 🙂

Crikey, this puts the double trouble situation into perspective just a bit more than people realise! Hard – but doubly rewarding – work there. I find it hard enough with one (still marvel at my Mum who had 7 of us!). Thank you for linking up to PoCoLo and for all your support lovely xx

And that two is never enough! Even if I did buy duplicates for my girls, they still wanted the same one! Guess being twins did teach them to share. Eventually. Kind of…

Brilliant post, I can just see the twins doing it too! POD is a singleton but did all those things at the same age. Now she’s two she’s adopted her Daddy’s lack of patience and learnt wood doesn’t attach to Duplo 🙂

This is fab! It accounts for most of my days perfectly! My identical twins are 10 months and this is exactly what they get up too! Their poor poor brother is very patient.
