I really enjoyed writing my post about my top Christmas stocking fillers for girls and I realised it would be nice to write a showcase post for the best British handmade gifts. I am lucky to know these three uber talented ladies and thought it would be nice to showcase their fabulous crafts. Please do pop across and check out their products and maybe show them some love on Facebook.
So in no particular order…
April Summers Art
April Summers Art is created by my gorgeous college friend whom is an illustrator and papercutter, who turns her stunning designs into personalised artwork, prints and pretty stationery.
She makes gorgeous papercuts (which I can only imagine must take hours and a lot of patience!), including personalised ones like this…
Then there are beauitful mini prints which can be framed, like this one of Mr Kingfisher
And she also turns pretty slogans and doodles into prints and notebooks like this one…
April Summers Art has become so popular, that some of her gifts sell out before they even make it into her etsy store. So to make sure you don’t miss out on her greatest lines, pop over to the April Summers Art Facebook page, where you can be the first to see each new design.
Charlie Mouse Charm
My lovely primary school friend owns Charlie Mouse Charm, where she makes a variety of traditional British country crafts from memo boards, bunting, tote bags and teacup sewing kits, to bespoke lampshades and personalised cushions. She recently held a stall at a craft fair and I think it looked fabulous.
Charlie Mouse Charm is fantastic if you want to jazz up your home interiors with pretty and custom made furnishings. If you like to have something a little bit unique and appreciate the detail that goes into handmade gifts, then you should definitely get in touch with Carly and see what she can make for you.
You can find Charlie Mouse Charm products on Folksy and there are also contact details on there if you wish to request something personalised or custom made.
Baublized
If you are looking for something more festive, you can have personalised Christmas tree decorations or Christmas bunting made by Baublized. These make nice gifts for teachers, family and friends during the festive season and can be used year after year.
Lisa is a teacher and a fellow mum of three, who also has twins. She has been making these named baubles for the children in her class every year. She has been selling locally for a while, but has now extended her range and is happy to ship her products anywhere in the UK.
You can see more of the Baublized range and place orders on the Baublized Facebook page.
I do hope you will all pop over to these talented ladies pages and check them out. I really admire them for all the time, passion and creativity they put into making such beautiful British handmade gifts.
