After the incredible experience that was Britmums Live 2013, I wanted to find a quote about online friendship...
...But that sounded sad and geeky and I didn't think my non-blogger readers would quite understand. But you see... that doesn't matter, because Britmums Live took away the difference. It changed many of my online friends, into real friends. Real faces that smiled at me and talked to me, real arms that hugged me, and real personalities I got to meet.
Many bloggers are no longer just an Avatar to me. I feel that some of them, will be real friends, for a long time. And those that I have yet to meet, still tweet me every day or every week and ask how I am. (More than a lot of my non-online friends).
So you see my #WednesdayWords quote doesn't need to be about online friendship, because whether in real life or at the end of a hashtag... it's either friendship, or it's not.
“You meet people who forget you. You forget people you meet. But sometimes you meet those people you can't forget. Those are your 'friends”
© Mark Twain

Yay! Great quote. I spend far more time in touch with my online friends than my ‘real’ ones and I’m not even ashamed to say that any more. I met some amazing people at Britmums Live and I am proud to call them my friends! 🙂
