This week's Wednesday Words is about Hard Work. I went back to work yesterday, after both my maternity leave and my sick leave for Cancer. I didn't want to. I want to be a stay at home mum, but that's not a luxury I can afford. It's only part time, in the evenings, but having not worked for so long, it's hard going back. So I am reminding myself of the following quote, because I hope that one day, we will be out of debt. One say we will have savings. One day we will work for ourselves and be able to buy a house. One day, but only if we work hard.
“The dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. work is the key to success, and hard work can help you accomplish anything.”
― Vince Lombardi Jr.

It’s never easy getting back into it after mat leave, but especially when you’re also recovering as you have been. Be very proud and you’re setting a great example to your children. x

Oh hun, it must be hard.
I’ve found this summer holiday really tough as my husband and I are pretty much working 12hr days, with the kids getting sporadic care from friends or us playing tag-team to try to keep them occupied.
I hope that you start to enjoy it more soon and that a little time away from the kids means you are refreshed and bouncy when you are with them.

Great quote – I’d heard the first bit before, but this fills it out more. I hope you get to enjoy your return to work and that it isn’t too boring!
