I’m currently reading the Fifty Shades trilogy (No I’m not about to quote it!) and a question someone once asked me, keeps coming back to me. Somebody on twitter asked, “Who would be your Christian Grey?”
I’m not really one to lust after celebs, so it got me thinking for ages, about who I would envision. Castings for the movie are taking place now too, but all the rumoured actors, just don’t do it for me. Now I’m actually reading the books, one person keeps coming into my head as MY Christian Grey. Soppy and pathetic as this sounds… it’s my husband! Admittedly, to be Christian Grey he’d need to stop smoking and turn his barrel into a six pack, but it just goes to show, that really and truly, even in desires, my husband is the man of my dreams.
It may be that I am extra emotional about my hubby lately because I’ve been away from him, while I was in hospital. Or because he’s been caring for me, while I recover from surgery. Either way, I found a quote that sums up how I feel about him, even after marriage, even though it was over 7 years ago we first fell in love.
“Love is running into his arms, colliding with his heart and exploding into his soul” – author unknown
Does marriage feel like that for everyone?
Who would be your Christian Grey?

That choice isn’t soppy and pathetic – that’s loving and loyal!

Lovely. Just so lovely. I’m not a fan of that kind of fiction myself, but I love the fact that your leading man is your husband!
